Breakout band Fun. has announced tour dates for the U.S. in 2013. The tour is set to kick off on January 23rd in St. Paul, Minnesota and continue through February 16th in Nashville, Tennessee. Recently, the band kicked off the REVERB Campus Consciousness Tour on November 4th. The tour sponsored by the non-profit group REVERB and Ben & Jerry’s is sold out and will make a number of stops at various colleges across the country. The purpose of this tour is to educate and encourage students to take positive action for LGBTQ equality. It also supports The Ally Coalition, which is a partnership that was recently launched between Fun. and designer Rachel Antonoff. The partnership is devoted to encouraging music, fashion, and entertainment communities to take action and support LGBTQ equality. Fun. will also be donating one dollar from every ticket sold on this tour to The Ally Coalition.
In addition to both of these tours, Fun. will also be starring in many holiday radio concerts across the country. The concerts range from 96x’s Winter Meltdown in Norfolk, Virginia on November 28th to Z100’s Jingle Ball in New York City on December 7th.
Recently, Fun. made an appearance on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and performed with Louis C.K. as the guest host. The band has also recently released a music video for their single “Carry On.” Fun. was also nominated for a number of American Music Awards such as “New Artist of the Year” and “Pop/Rock Music: Favorite Band, Duo, or Group.” The awards air on Sunday, November 18th on ABC.
