Q & A with Shealeigh

When and why did you begin singing?:
I began singing at age two. It was always something that fascinated me, and it has been a hobby ever since.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?:
My biggest inspiration is my mom. She has supported me in everything I’ve done and I’m appreciative of that.
She’s my biggest hero. Also, Taylor swift is my musical inspiration. She’s very influential.

What is one valuable lesson you learned about the music industry?.
I think it’s to always stay true to yourself. No matter how many things get in your way believe in what you do. Remember what you want to do and remember your goals. Stay true to that. If you change yourself it isn’t
original and isn’t true anymore.

What is your advice to aspiring singers?:
I would say have fun with what you do. If you don’t enjoy it then do something else. Always have fun with it and
believe in yourself. It’s important to always keep going. I was just a little girl in local competitions and now I’m
living my dreams.

What are some hobbies you have besides singing?:
I love writing lyrics and melodies. I love reading! I’m big into reading and writing in general. I write stories and poetry. I watch a lot of movies. Writing music and listening to music is everything to me, it’s my world. I enjoy it taking up my time.

What is one defining moment in your career so far?:
I think it would be N.B.T (Next Big Thing Competition). It’s something that has taken me so far. What I really wanted
to do was write music and have it on iTunes and the radio. I thought about this since I was five years old and it’s really coming true. I’m really grateful for that. That’s definitely a defining moment.

What is the most fun part of being a singer?:
I think it would be performing in different places. It’s so much fun to meet people who you make smile. It’s the best feeling in the world. It’s really cool to meet different people.

What is the hardest part of being a singer?:
I think that traveling is a little difficult at times. You kind of miss other things that are going on in the real world and it’s like everything is split off. I have to perform a lot but it never gets me down because I know I’ll have fun. It’s still something that means a lot to me.

What message do you want to send out to your fans?:
Thank you so much for everything you have done. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart your support means so much to me. I am living the dream I always hoped I would. I’m so happy and it’s all because of you. Thank you.
