On December 6, 2010, the inaugural ceremony of the American Country Awards, a fan-voted country music awards show, took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. American Idol Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood was the night’s biggest winner garnering six awards, which included wins in the coveted “Artist of the Year” and “Female Artist of the Year” categories.
